Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the school’s strategic development and implementation
- Collaborate with the Headteacher to deliver the school’s vision and mission
- Manage and develop staff, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning
- Oversee pastoral care and student well-being initiatives
- Work closely with governors to align school objectives with long-term goals
- Monitor and evaluate academic and personal progress across the school
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of special educational needs and inclusive practices
- Experience in school management and strategic planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, students, and parents
Preferred
- Experience in a senior leadership role within a special needs school
- Familiarity with the therapeutic and nurturing approach to education
- Knowledge of the Skills Builder Framework and EHCP outcomes
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation
- Demonstrated success in driving school improvement and growth
