Graduate Boarding Assistant role for term-time only, full-time residential position.

The Opportunity:
As a Graduate Boarding Assistant, you will support the Head of Boarding in managing a boarding house during their absence. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with young people and contributing to a vibrant, inclusive community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the house in the absence of Houseparents
- Plan and organise engaging activities and events for students
- Coordinate food and equipment orders with the Catering Department
- Maintain public rooms, dorms, and recreational areas in a tidy and presentable condition
- Identify and report maintenance issues to Houseparents and Estates
- Assist with recording house billing and expenses
- Encourage student involvement in house maintenance and organisation
- Support wider events and in-school weekend activities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children in a residential or educational setting
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to the welfare and development of young people
Preferred
- Previous experience in a boarding or residential role
- Knowledge of school operations and house management
- Experience with event planning and coordination
- Flexibility to work term-time only and live in the boarding house
