The Opportunity:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support academic departments, contribute to pastoral care, and deliver engaging co-curricular activities. This role is ideal for adaptable, energetic graduates looking to gain valuable experience while making a meaningful impact on student lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a boarding house with evening and weekend duties and tutor groups.
- Assist with teaching, lesson supervision, academic trips, and exam invigilation.
- Coach in sport and/or help deliver activities in music, drama, art, and societies.
- Contribute to the evening and weekend activities programme and school events.
- Engage with students in a pastoral capacity, promoting well-being and character development.
- Participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular programmes to enhance student experience.
- Collaborate with academic staff to support student learning and development.
- Promote the school’s values of service, integrity, and community through daily interactions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Postgraduate student or recent graduate with a relevant degree.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s values of service, integrity, and community.
- Willingness to take on a range of responsibilities across academic, pastoral, and co-curricular areas.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or working with young people.
- Knowledge of music, drama, art, or sports.
- Ability to contribute to a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
- Experience with pastoral care or student support.
