Summary:

Health Centre Manager required for a school with full-scope medical provision and urgent care services.

The Opportunity:

As a Health Centre Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a fully functional Health Centre, providing essential medical care to boarding pupils and the wider school community. This role is central to ensuring the health and wellbeing of students, with a strong focus on leadership, team management, and effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the operations of the Health Centre in accordance with best practice guidelines.
  • Lead and support a multidisciplinary team through recruitment, appraisals, and professional development.
  • Maintain and manage on-call rotas using Rotacloud software to ensure adequate medical coverage.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with school departments, external healthcare providers, and stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve escalated concerns from pupils, parents, and colleagues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure the provision of pitch side first aid for sporting events and urgent care for all members of the school community.
  • Promote a culture of health and wellbeing across the school environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven management experience within a multi-disciplinary medical team.
  • Active professional registration and relevant healthcare qualifications.
  • Experience in providing medical care in an educational or healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and develop a team effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience with Rotacloud or similar online rostering software.
  • Knowledge of working with international students and diverse communities.
  • Experience in emergency care or first aid provision.
