Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Geography department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

  • Support and manage departmental staff, including performance reviews and professional development.
  • Monitor and track student progress, ensuring academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.
  • Organise and lead field trips that enhance student engagement and learning.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school on whole-school initiatives and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching Geography at both GCSE and A Level.
  • Leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and departmental leadership.
