The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a collaborative team and inspire students across the senior school. This role offers the opportunity to teach Further Mathematics at GCSE and A Level, while contributing to department development and student academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students across the senior school.
- Teach Further Mathematics at GCSE and A Level.
- Support the development and leadership of the mathematics department.
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and support.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Contribute to the school’s pastoral and extra-curricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in mathematics education.
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics, including Further Mathematics.
- Proven ability to teach at GCSE and A Level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student success and academic excellence.
- Experience working in a school environment, preferably in a senior school setting.
Preferred
- Leadership experience or potential for a Second in Department role.
- Experience with curriculum development and departmental leadership.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
