The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a collaborative team and inspire students across the senior school. This role offers the opportunity to teach Further Mathematics at GCSE and A Level, while contributing to department development and student academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students across the senior school.
  • Teach Further Mathematics at GCSE and A Level.
  • Support the development and leadership of the mathematics department.
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and support.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Contribute to the school’s pastoral and extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in mathematics education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics, including Further Mathematics.
  • Proven ability to teach at GCSE and A Level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student success and academic excellence.
  • Experience working in a school environment, preferably in a senior school setting.

Preferred

  • Leadership experience or potential for a Second in Department role.
  • Experience with curriculum development and departmental leadership.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
