Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with special educational needs and disabilities during mainstream lessons and in small group interventions.
- Deliver targeted interventions designed to improve student outcomes and engagement.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure consistent and effective support for students.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of learning activities tailored to individual needs.
- Monitor and record student progress regularly, providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Current student or recent graduate in education or a related field.
- Commitment to working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience or willingness to complete teacher training (ITT) programmes.
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- Experience with inclusive education and differentiated instruction.
- Knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) support strategies.
- Familiarity with ITT programmes and teaching qualifications.
