The Opportunity:

As the Head of Co-Curriculum and Community, you will lead the development and implementation of co-curricular activities, events, and community initiatives that align with the school's mission and values. This role is pivotal in creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that supports student growth and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the whole-school Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) programme.
  • Design and implement a balanced and inclusive CCA provision that supports participation, enrichment, and high-performance pathways.
  • Coordinate the planning, delivery, and quality assurance of all co-curricular and event activities.
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing, facility usage, and programme logistics for all CCAs and events.
  • Develop and implement co-curricular policies, procedures, and systems aligned with school priorities.
  • Manage relationships with external providers, ensuring compliance and alignment with the school's values.
  • Ensure all trips and educational visits meet safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead staff training and support for trip planning and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with external providers and community organisations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a relevant field with appropriate teaching qualification.
  • At least three years' experience managing a well-functioning department or team.
  • Strong administrative, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and well-being of young people.
  • Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in co-curricular leadership or event management.
  • Familiarity with British Curriculum and international education standards.
  • Experience with external provider management and community engagement initiatives.
  • Passion for educating the whole child and achieving outstanding outcomes.
