The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Physics Teacher to join its successful Science team. This role offers the chance to shape student learning and contribute to a school renowned for its academic excellence, arts, and sporting achievements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons at GCSE and A Level, using innovative and engaging teaching methods.
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to ensure high student attainment.
  • Support students in developing a deep understanding of Physics concepts and their real-world applications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Science department and other subject areas to enhance cross-curricular learning.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and events to promote science beyond the classroom.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum changes and best practices in Physics education.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Physics teaching experience at GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physics and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Experience in a British Curriculum school or equivalent.
  • Commitment to student attainment and positive education practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with BTEC Applied Science.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Interest in developing science programs beyond the classroom.
  • Experience in a not-for-profit educational institution.
