The Opportunity:
As the Head of PSHE Teacher, you will lead the development and delivery of a high-quality PSHE curriculum that supports student wellbeing and personal growth. This role offers a unique chance to shape the future of PSHE education and make a meaningful impact on young people's lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive PSHE curriculum
- Deliver high-quality PSHE lessons that inspire and engage students
- Support the development of schemes of work and teaching resources
- Coordinate and lead extra-curricular activities and educational visits
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure PSHE is effectively integrated across the school
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of PSHE provision on student outcomes
- Promote a culture of wellbeing and personal development across the school community
- Provide professional guidance and support to other teachers in the PSHE department
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in PSHE or a related subject
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Proven ability to design and deliver engaging and effective PSHE lessons
- Experience in developing and leading curriculum provision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to student wellbeing and personal development
Preferred
- Experience in leading a PSHE department or similar role
- Familiarity with current PSHE frameworks and best practices
- Experience with extra-curricular and pastoral support initiatives
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
- Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting
