Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive PSHE curriculum
  • Deliver high-quality PSHE lessons that inspire and engage students
  • Support the development of schemes of work and teaching resources
  • Coordinate and lead extra-curricular activities and educational visits
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure PSHE is effectively integrated across the school
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of PSHE provision on student outcomes
  • Promote a culture of wellbeing and personal development across the school community
  • Provide professional guidance and support to other teachers in the PSHE department

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in PSHE or a related subject
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Proven ability to design and deliver engaging and effective PSHE lessons
  • Experience in developing and leading curriculum provision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and personal development

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a PSHE department or similar role
  • Familiarity with current PSHE frameworks and best practices
  • Experience with extra-curricular and pastoral support initiatives
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting
