Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of a high-quality Health and Social Care curriculum.
- Support the creation and implementation of schemes of work within the department.
- Deliver engaging lessons and learning experiences that inspire students.
- Coordinate and lead extra-curricular and educational visits that enhance student learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and impactful departmental strategy.
- Promote the values of the school through teaching and leadership.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continued improvement.
- Represent the department at meetings and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching and leading in Health and Social Care.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students.
- Ability to design, develop and deliver a high-quality curriculum.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to the school’s values of Believe, Respect and Succeed.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or team.
- Background in extra-curricular programme development.
- Experience with evidence-based teaching and learning strategies.
- Familiarity with SSAT or similar educational frameworks.
