Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the D&T department to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
• Develop and implement an innovative and impactful Design and Technology curriculum.
• Mentor and support a team of D&T teachers to enhance their professional development.
• Deliver outstanding classroom practice and ensure student achievement across all ability levels.
• Contribute to the wider school community through pastoral and extra-curricular activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s educational vision and strategic goals.
• Ensure the effective use of resources and facilities to support teaching and learning.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven leadership experience in a Design and Technology department.
• Strong track record in teaching and raising student attainment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver an innovative curriculum.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
• Commitment to the holistic development of students.

Preferred

• Experience in leading a department within a girls’ school.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in Design and Technology education.
• Experience with pastoral and extra-curricular responsibilities.
