Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Drama department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging curriculum aligned with the school’s values.
- Support and mentor other Drama teachers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Represent the school at external events, competitions, and community activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance cross-subject learning opportunities.
- Promote the performing arts within the school and wider community.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of school facilities and resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Drama or related subject.
- Proven leadership experience in a school or college setting.
- Strong knowledge of Drama pedagogy and curriculum development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or team.
- Background in drama production or performance.
- Experience with inclusive teaching practices.
- Familiarity with the SEARCH Education Trust values.
