Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the drama curriculum, ensuring alignment with international standards and the school’s educational vision.
- Manage and mentor a team of drama educators, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that engage and challenge students.
- Coordinate and lead extra-curricular drama activities, including productions and community events.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure drama education supports student development and school values.
- Stay current with global educational trends and integrate innovative teaching practices into the department.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular learning and student engagement.
- Provide regular assessments and feedback to support student progress and teacher development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
- Proven experience in teaching Secondary A Level Drama.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a team of educators.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A growth mindset with a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a successful drama department.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding learning and teaching outcomes.
- Experience working in an international school setting.
