The Opportunity:

As an IBCP Coordinator, you will play a key role in leading and developing the International Baccalaureate Career-Related Programme (IBCP) across the school. This is a unique opportunity to shape a dynamic and forward-thinking curriculum that empowers students to become confident, independent learners and responsible global citizens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and promote the IBCP across the school, ensuring alignment with IB standards and best practices.
  • Support students through academic counselling, pathways guidance, and reflective project development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and stakeholders to enhance the quality and impact of the IBCP.
  • Manage and deliver core components of the IBCP, including the Reflective Project, Personal and Professional Skills (PPS), and Community Engagement.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, mentoring, and staff development within the school.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between students, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Stay current with IB standards, assessment practices, and programme delivery.
  • Contribute to the school’s vision by upholding its values of integrity, empathy, and fortitude.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as an IB specialist, with a focus on the IBCP.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a Post 16 or Secondary setting.
  • Strong knowledge of IB standards, assessment, and programme delivery.
  • Ability to lead, develop and promote the IBCP across the school.
  • Experience in student guidance, academic counselling, and pathways support.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to collaboration, staff development, and mentoring.

Preferred

  • Experience working with international curricula and diverse student populations.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum of England and the IB Diploma Programme.
  • A growth mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience in leading professional development initiatives for teachers.
