The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Primary SENDco Teacher to join our team and support students with special educational needs. This role is central to creating an inclusive and empowering learning environment that reflects the school’s core values of integrity, empathy, and fortitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success
  • Provide specialist guidance and training to colleagues on inclusive teaching strategies
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly and report to stakeholders
  • Create engaging and accessible learning experiences tailored to diverse student needs
  • Participate actively in the school’s extra-curricular and community-based programs
  • Stay updated with global best practices in special education and professional development
  • Support the school’s mission to cultivate a culture of innovation and global citizenship

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • BEd or Bachelor’s degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent
  • Proven experience in teaching primary level students with special educational needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to the school’s core values of integrity, empathy, and fortitude
  • Reflective and solution-focused approach to teaching and learning

Preferred

  • Experience with international curricula such as the National Curriculum of England or the IB
  • Familiarity with inclusive education frameworks and methodologies
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Background in professional development and leadership in education
  • Knowledge of innovative pedagogical approaches and research-based teaching strategies
