The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level, delivering engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Foster a love of literature and language through creative and analytical teaching methods.
  • Support the development of students’ critical thinking, writing, and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the English Department to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
  • Contribute to departmental leadership and development, including the potential role of Second in Department.
  • Provide tailored support to students, ensuring they reach their full academic potential.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that promote a well-rounded education.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and assessment, ensuring alignment with the school’s academic goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in English education.
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student development and academic excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience in departmental leadership or mentoring roles.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology.
