The Opportunity:
As the Head of HR, you will lead and develop the HR function across both Senior and Prep Schools, ensuring effective processes and a values-driven culture. This role offers the chance to shape a strategic and impactful HR function while working in a dynamic and forward-thinking institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop HR strategies, policies, and procedures across both Senior and Prep Schools.
- Lead the recruitment process, ensuring the attraction and retention of high-quality staff.
- Provide expert guidance to senior leadership on HR best practices and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Bursar, Co-Heads of the Prep, and the Principal to foster a strong HR culture.
- Oversee reward and recognition programs, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission and values.
- Implement and maintain effective HR systems and processes.
- Support staff development and professional growth through training and career planning.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to HR practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a Head of HR or in a senior HR leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and HR systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and across different school sectors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Preferred
- Experience in the education sector, particularly in independent schools.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Experience with flexible working arrangements and part-time roles.
- Demonstrated success in driving HR strategy and operational improvements.
