The Opportunity:

As the Head of HR, you will lead and develop the HR function across both Senior and Prep Schools, ensuring effective processes and a values-driven culture. This role offers the chance to shape a strategic and impactful HR function while working in a dynamic and forward-thinking institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop HR strategies, policies, and procedures across both Senior and Prep Schools.
  • Lead the recruitment process, ensuring the attraction and retention of high-quality staff.
  • Provide expert guidance to senior leadership on HR best practices and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Bursar, Co-Heads of the Prep, and the Principal to foster a strong HR culture.
  • Oversee reward and recognition programs, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission and values.
  • Implement and maintain effective HR systems and processes.
  • Support staff development and professional growth through training and career planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to HR practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Head of HR or in a senior HR leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and HR systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and across different school sectors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Preferred

  • Experience in the education sector, particularly in independent schools.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Experience with flexible working arrangements and part-time roles.
  • Demonstrated success in driving HR strategy and operational improvements.
