Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging music lessons to students across a range of year groups
  • Develop and implement a varied and imaginative music curriculum
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individual and group instruction
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme, including ensembles and performances
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high standard of teaching and learning
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance
  • Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and professional development activities
  • Promote the school’s values and ethos through teaching and pastoral care

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant music education or equivalent experience
  • Experience in teaching music to students aged 11–18
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (Visas cannot be sponsored)

Preferred

  • Experience with music performance, composition, or instrumental teaching
  • Familiarity with music technology and digital resources
  • Experience in a school or educational setting
  • Ability to contribute to extra-curricular music activities and events
