The Opportunity:

A Learning Support Teacher is needed to support students in the Secondary School, helping them grow academically, emotionally, and socially. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and committed to making a positive impact on student lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with diverse learning needs through tailored teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure consistent and effective learning outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in line with the school’s values and goals.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using data to guide instruction and support.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Support the wider curriculum and extra-curricular activities as required.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students in line with the school’s safeguarding policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good honours degree and a QTS or PGCE teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of two years’ teaching experience.
  • Current ICPC and UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education.

Preferred

  • Experience in learning support or special educational needs (SEN).
  • Familiarity with the British curriculum and assessment systems.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student welfare.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
  • Experience working in an international school setting.
