Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Humanities that align with the National Curriculum for England and UAE Ministry of Education standards.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and student participation.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources to enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and school-wide initiatives.
  • Actively participate in extracurricular activities and community events that enrich the school culture and student experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A BEd or Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Humanities or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching Humanities at a relevant level.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and staff.
  • A UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.

Preferred

  • Experience with the National Curriculum for England or UAE Ministry of Education curricula.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar qualifications.
  • Familiarity with the BSO accreditation and NQT, QTS, or iPGCE programmes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire students through creative and engaging teaching methods.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular activities and community-based events.
