Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Mathematics Department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for mathematics education aligned with the school’s values and goals.
  • Foster a culture of academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support the pastoral and academic development of students.
  • Promote the school’s Catholic ethos and values within the department and wider school community.
  • Provide professional development and mentorship to mathematics teachers.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring that all pupils are supported and challenged to reach their full potential.
  • Represent the department in meetings, inspections, and external events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and a commitment to academic excellence.
  • Experience in teaching across all key stages.
