The Opportunity:
As a Graduate Sports Assistant, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive Sport & PE curriculum and an extensive co-curricular programme. This role is ideal for those looking to gain experience in a high-achieving school environment, with the opportunity to develop a career in teaching or professional coaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of the Sport & PE curriculum across all year groups
- Provide tailored assistance to students in Netball, Hockey, or Cricket, while remaining adaptable to other sports
- Collaborate closely with the PE Department to enhance the school's sporting programme
- Assist in the organisation and delivery of co-curricular sporting events and activities
- Promote a positive and inclusive sporting culture within the school
- Monitor and support student progress in sports and physical development
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of training sessions and competitions
- Maintain accurate records of student participation and performance
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A graduate with a relevant degree or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the primary sports: Netball, Hockey, or Cricket
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to student welfare and development
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for a wide range of sports
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or coaching, either formally or informally
- Knowledge of sport and PE curriculum development
- Experience with child safeguarding and welfare procedures
- Understanding of the role of sport in education and personal development
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £17,753
- Term-time only contract with 5 additional days
