As a Graduate Sports Assistant, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive Sport & PE curriculum and an extensive co-curricular programme. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the Sport & PE curriculum across all year groups
  • Provide tailored assistance to students in Netball, Hockey, or Cricket, while remaining adaptable to other sports
  • Collaborate closely with the PE Department to enhance the school's sporting programme
  • Assist in the organisation and delivery of co-curricular sporting events and activities
  • Promote a positive and inclusive sporting culture within the school
  • Monitor and support student progress in sports and physical development
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of training sessions and competitions
  • Maintain accurate records of student participation and performance

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A graduate with a relevant degree or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the primary sports: Netball, Hockey, or Cricket
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to student welfare and development
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for a wide range of sports

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or coaching, either formally or informally
  • Knowledge of sport and PE curriculum development
  • Experience with child safeguarding and welfare procedures
  • Understanding of the role of sport in education and personal development
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting
