Teacher of Music sought for full-time, fixed-term role starting September 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music education across all levels of ability.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Music to develop and enhance performance and co-curricular opportunities.
  • Inspire and motivate students to reach their full musical potential.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and expression.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events.
  • Support the development of individual and group performance opportunities.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and innovative music curriculum.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Music or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching music at all levels.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to co-curricular music activities.
  • Experience with instrumental or vocal tuition.
  • Familiarity with music technology and digital resources.
  • Ability to perform or conduct.
