The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of Mathematics to join our dynamic department on a part-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to inspire and support students from Year 7 to A Level, while contributing to a successful and innovative department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons to students across all key stages.
- Support students in achieving high academic outcomes and developing a deep understanding of the subject.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and innovative teaching methods.
- Contribute to the development of the Mathematics curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and school-wide initiatives.
- Mentor and support students through individual and group-based learning strategies.
- Encourage student participation in Mathematics competitions and enrichment activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Mathematics to A Level students.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for Mathematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience with enrichment activities, such as UKMT Mathematics Challenges.
- Familiarity with Oxbridge preparation and support programs.
- Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular Mathematics clubs or societies.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
