The Opportunity:

As Assistant Head of Co-Curricular and Partnerships, you will lead and shape the school’s co-curricular and enrichment programme, ensuring it is inclusive, dynamic and aligned with the school’s mission to develop well-rounded, confident young women. This is a pivotal role that offers the opportunity to influence student development and drive innovation across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic co-curricular programme that supports pupils’ intellectual, personal and moral development.
  • Lead and manage the school’s educational visits, outward-facing partnerships and enrichment activities.
  • Foster strong links with the local community and enhance the school’s House system and charitable initiatives.
  • Promote and support the school’s eco-commitment and sustainability goals.
  • Ensure cross-curricular opportunities are dynamic and inclusive, engaging students across the 11–18 age range.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align co-curricular activities with the school’s vision and values.
  • Inspire and lead a team of staff and students, encouraging creativity and innovation in all aspects of co-curricular provision.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of co-curricular activities on student engagement and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in an educational setting, with a track record of successful middle leadership.
  • Extensive teaching experience across the 11–18 age range, including A Level.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high pupil achievement and support student development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead with empathy and confidence.
  • Experience in managing and developing co-curricular and enrichment programmes.
  • Commitment to fostering inclusivity and a culture of kindness and generosity.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and managing partnerships with external organisations.
  • Background in sustainability or environmental education.
  • Experience in community engagement or charitable work.
  • Familiarity with the GDST or similar educational institutions.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
