The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Health and Social Care Teacher to join its Science Faculty. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a successful department that consistently delivers outstanding results. The ideal candidate will be driven to support student achievement and bring fresh ideas to the teaching of Health and Social Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Health and Social Care lessons to students across all key stages, including A-level.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic results and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as needed.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the faculty.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning of cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using a range of assessment methods.
  • Encourage student participation and promote a positive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience teaching Health and Social Care at Key Stage 3 and 4, and ideally A-level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Sociology.
  • Experience with Early Career Teacher (ECT) development.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
