We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Modern Foreign Languages to lead and inspire a vibrant department. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Modern Foreign Languages department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Oversee and support the delivery of extra-curricular activities related to language learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Represent the department at school events and meetings.
- Stay up to date with best practices in language education and share knowledge with the team.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a school setting, preferably in a senior teaching role.
- Strong subject knowledge in Modern Foreign Languages.
- Experience in curriculum development and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or team.
- Familiarity with the British curriculum and assessment systems.
- Experience in developing and delivering extra-curricular language activities.
- Knowledge of modern teaching methodologies and technologies.
