We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Modern Foreign Languages to lead and inspire a vibrant department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Modern Foreign Languages department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Oversee and support the delivery of extra-curricular activities related to language learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Represent the department at school events and meetings.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in language education and share knowledge with the team.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a school setting, preferably in a senior teaching role.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Modern Foreign Languages.
  • Experience in curriculum development and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department or team.
  • Familiarity with the British curriculum and assessment systems.
  • Experience in developing and delivering extra-curricular language activities.
  • Knowledge of modern teaching methodologies and technologies.
