The Opportunity:
As the Head of Music Department, you will lead and develop a dynamic music program for Key Stage 3 and 4 students, inspiring a love of music and promoting excellence across the school. This is a leadership role for an experienced and motivated educator looking to make an impact in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the music curriculum for Key Stage 3 and 4 students
- Inspire students through innovative and engaging teaching methods
- Manage and coordinate departmental activities and resources effectively
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support student development
- Promote musical excellence and encourage student participation in performances and events
- Monitor and assess student progress in line with school standards
- Support the professional growth of music staff within the department
- Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A strong passion for music and teaching secondary school students
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Strong communication skills to work with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to motivate and inspire young learners
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and respectful learning environment
Preferred
- Basic knowledge or qualification in music or a related field
- Experience in departmental leadership or management
- Familiarity with Jewish educational values and traditions
