Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver Politics and History lessons up to Key Stage 4, with a balanced timetable.
• Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Politics and History.
• Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall academic experience for students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Contribute to the school’s mission by promoting a culture of excellence and inclusion.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
• Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in Politics and History.
• Proven ability to teach History and Politics up to Key Stage 4.
• Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
• Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Preferred

• Experience in leading a department or teaching at A-level.
• Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum requirements.
• Experience with curriculum development and cross-subject collaboration.
