Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver Politics and History lessons up to Key Stage 4, with a balanced timetable.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Politics and History.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall academic experience for students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Contribute to the school’s mission by promoting a culture of excellence and inclusion.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Politics and History.
- Proven ability to teach History and Politics up to Key Stage 4.
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or teaching at A-level.
- Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum requirements.
- Experience with curriculum development and cross-subject collaboration.
- Knowledge of current political and historical issues.
