The Opportunity:

The Head of Pre-Prep and Prep School is a key leadership role within a prestigious educational trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the school’s development and ensuring the continued delivery of high standards in academic, pastoral, and co-curricular areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the strategic direction of the Pre-Prep and Prep School.
  • Work closely with the Trust’s Senior Leadership Team and Governors to shape Trust-wide policy and strategy.
  • Oversee the academic, pastoral, and co-curricular provision to ensure excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the Headmaster of the Trust and Deputy Heads to implement Trust-wide decisions.
  • Support and develop the Senior Leadership Team at Hampton Prep.
  • Foster a strong and positive school culture aligned with the Trust’s ethos and values.
  • Monitor and report on the school’s performance and progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior educational role.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • A commitment to the Trust’s ethos, values, and culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing a school or department within a multi-academy trust or similar structure.
  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a preparatory school or similar institution.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and compliance procedures.
  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Leadership in co-curricular and extra-curricular programs.
  • Experience in school improvement and performance management.
