The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Psychology department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance student outcomes.
- Support and mentor a team of dedicated teachers to maintain excellence in instruction.
- Promote student engagement and achievement through innovative and inclusive practices.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to align curriculum and pedagogy with school goals.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of Psychology and integrate new ideas into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a Head of Department or in a senior leadership role in education.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and raising standards.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
- Excellent knowledge of Psychology curriculum and teaching methodologies.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with an Ofsted 'Outstanding' rating.
- Background in leading departmental CPD and staff development.
- Experience with extracurricular programs and student welfare initiatives.
- Familiarity with the GLF Schools Trust and its values.
