The Opportunity:
As the Head of Resource Provision and SEND Teacher, you will lead and deliver high-quality teaching and support for students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). This is a pivotal role in shaping a dedicated, growing provision that ensures every student receives the education they deserve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the provision for students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning tailored to individual needs
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to support student progress
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the learning experience for all students
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to stakeholders
- Promote a positive, inclusive school culture that values diversity and inclusion
- Participate in the school’s professional development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the school’s mission to nurture, challenge, and inspire every student
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Proven leadership experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of inclusive education and differentiated teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to the school’s vision and values
Preferred
- Experience in managing a growing provision or department
- Knowledge of curriculum development and resource provision
- Experience with students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Familiarity with the Excalibur Academies Trust and its values
