The Opportunity:

As the Head of Resource Provision and SEND Teacher, you will lead and deliver high-quality teaching and support for students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). This is a pivotal role in shaping a dedicated, growing provision that ensures every student receives the education they deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the provision for students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning tailored to individual needs
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to support student progress
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the learning experience for all students
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to stakeholders
  • Promote a positive, inclusive school culture that values diversity and inclusion
  • Participate in the school’s professional development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support the school’s mission to nurture, challenge, and inspire every student

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Proven leadership experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education and differentiated teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to the school’s vision and values

Preferred

  • Experience in managing a growing provision or department
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and resource provision
  • Experience with students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Familiarity with the Excalibur Academies Trust and its values
