Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons that engage and challenge students at all levels
  • Support the development of a mastery curriculum from Year 7 to Year 13
  • Work collaboratively with the department to continually improve teaching and learning
  • Provide individualised support to students to ensure they achieve their maximum potential
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of GCSE and A Level courses
  • Encourage a love of mathematics and its applications in real-world contexts
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in mathematics education
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to departmental goals
  • Experience in delivering a mastery-based curriculum

Preferred

  • Experience with GCSE and A Level mathematics courses
  • Familiarity with the Eduqas and Pearson Edexcel specifications
  • Experience in pastoral care and student support
  • Background in Catholic education or similar values-based institutions
  • Experience with teaching Further Mathematics
