Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons that engage and challenge students at all levels
- Support the development of a mastery curriculum from Year 7 to Year 13
- Work collaboratively with the department to continually improve teaching and learning
- Provide individualised support to students to ensure they achieve their maximum potential
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of GCSE and A Level courses
- Encourage a love of mathematics and its applications in real-world contexts
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in mathematics education
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to departmental goals
- Experience in delivering a mastery-based curriculum
Preferred
- Experience with GCSE and A Level mathematics courses
- Familiarity with the Eduqas and Pearson Edexcel specifications
- Experience in pastoral care and student support
- Background in Catholic education or similar values-based institutions
- Experience with teaching Further Mathematics
