Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in English at both GCSE and A Level.
- Inspire students through a creative and innovative curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with the English department to continually improve teaching practices.
- Support students in achieving their academic potential and personal growth.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and a love of literature.
- Participate in the development and delivery of the AQA Literature and Language course.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as theatre, media, and enterprise events.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to student success and personal development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience in delivering AQA GCSE and A Level courses.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Previous experience in a Catholic school or similar environment.
- A proven track record in student achievement and engagement.
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental training and development.
