The Opportunity:

As a Catering Team Leader, you will play a key role in managing the catering operation and ensuring a high standard of service for students and staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Catering and Events Manager in the day-to-day running of the catering operation across all catering outlets.
  • Supervise General Assistants and Kitchen Porters during shifts, ensuring effective team management and performance.
  • Coordinate and deliver catering services for hospitality events and formal dinners as directed.
  • Maintain and enforce high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in all catering areas.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Support the development and implementation of catering schedules and menus.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless event catering and service delivery.
  • Provide feedback and support to team members to improve service quality and staff morale.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience in a similar role catering for large numbers.
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience in supervising and managing a team.
  • Passion for food and delivering a high-quality dining experience.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational institution catering environment.
  • Knowledge of event planning and hospitality management.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £28,500.00 - £29,188.00 per annum.
