The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of School to lead a vibrant primary school in North Kensington. This is an exciting opportunity for someone committed to education in disadvantaged communities and looking to make a meaningful impact on student achievement and school development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the school’s academic and operational performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and school standards.
- Work closely with the Executive Principal and Ark network to ensure alignment with school improvement goals.
- Foster a culture of inclusion, respect, and high academic achievement.
- Engage with the parent community and support their aspirations for their children.
- Oversee the management of staff, including teaching and support teams.
- Ensure the school’s curriculum and teaching practices align with national standards and the school’s vision.
- Promote a safe and supportive environment for all pupils and staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a primary school setting.
- Strong track record in improving student achievement and school performance.
- Commitment to working in disadvantaged communities and supporting pupil premium students.
- Experience in leading a school through a period of development and growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience within a multi-academy trust or similar educational network.
- Familiarity with the Great Teacher Rubric and teacher development programs.
- Experience in leading a SEND unit or working with students with additional needs.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and pedagogy.
- Experience in school improvement and Ofsted inspections.
