The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of School to lead a vibrant primary school in North Kensington. This is an exciting opportunity for someone committed to education in disadvantaged communities and looking to make a meaningful impact on student achievement and school development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the school’s academic and operational performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and school standards.
  • Work closely with the Executive Principal and Ark network to ensure alignment with school improvement goals.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, respect, and high academic achievement.
  • Engage with the parent community and support their aspirations for their children.
  • Oversee the management of staff, including teaching and support teams.
  • Ensure the school’s curriculum and teaching practices align with national standards and the school’s vision.
  • Promote a safe and supportive environment for all pupils and staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a primary school setting.
  • Strong track record in improving student achievement and school performance.
  • Commitment to working in disadvantaged communities and supporting pupil premium students.
  • Experience in leading a school through a period of development and growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience within a multi-academy trust or similar educational network.
  • Familiarity with the Great Teacher Rubric and teacher development programs.
  • Experience in leading a SEND unit or working with students with additional needs.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development and pedagogy.
  • Experience in school improvement and Ofsted inspections.
