The Opportunity:
As a PE Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality physical education to students from Reception to Key Stage 2. You will be responsible for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment that promotes physical activity, teamwork, and personal development. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement lessons in ball skills, team games, gymnastics, and dance for Reception to Key Stage 2.
- Organise and lead Sports Day activities and events.
- Deliver before or after school practice clubs for students.
- Coordinate internal and inter-school team game matches.
- Attend and participate in internal and external inset training sessions.
- Introduce and teach the correct use of a wide range of sports equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and reports.
- Review and update the PE curriculum and policy annually.
- Select, manage, and maintain relevant PE resources and materials.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience teaching PE at the primary level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students in physical education.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
- Understanding of differentiated planning and assessment.
Preferred
- Experience in organising and running school sports events.
- Knowledge of current PE teaching methods and best practices.
- Experience in working with parents and other staff members to support student development.
