Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and visionary leadership to ensure the continued success and development of the school.
  • Uphold and enhance the school’s identity, values, and academic standards.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and high achievement across all aspects of school life.
  • Work closely with the governing body, staff, and community to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement long-term educational and operational strategies.
  • Promote the school’s mission of access, opportunity, and excellence both within the institution and externally.
  • Support the pastoral care and well-being of students and staff.
  • Ensure effective resource management and financial stewardship.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior educational role, preferably as a Headteacher or equivalent.
  • Strong academic and strategic leadership skills with a clear vision for school development.
  • Experience in managing large-scale educational institutions with a focus on inclusivity and access.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • A deep understanding of the UK education system and its challenges and opportunities.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a school with a strong co-curricular programme.
  • Demonstrated success in improving academic outcomes and student well-being.
  • Experience in fostering a culture of innovation and professional development.
  • Strong understanding of bursary and access programmes.
