The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Teaching Assistant with an NVQ Level 3 Early Years qualification to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children’s development in a supportive and innovative educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist children in a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and age-appropriate educational activities.
  • Promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children through play and structured learning.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized classroom and outdoor areas.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of resources and materials for lessons.
  • Support children with special educational needs where required.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers to update them on children’s progress.
  • Follow the school’s policies and procedures for safeguarding and child protection.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • NVQ Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required.

Preferred

  • Experience with Special Educational Needs.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and curriculum frameworks.
  • Experience with wrap-around care provision.
  • Flexibility to work during holiday provision weeks.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive term-time only salary ranging from £22,110 to £23,590.
  • Additional earning opportunities through overtime during holiday provision weeks.
  • Generous holiday allowance of 5.6 weeks per year.
  • Paid breaks during the working day.
