The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Health and Social Care Teacher to inspire and support Sixth Form students in their studies. This role offers the chance to contribute to a school with a proven track record of excellence and progression to Higher Education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Health and Social Care courses, including BTEC Level 3 and AAQ’s, to Sixth Form students.
  • Develop engaging and inclusive lesson plans that support student learning and progression.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continue growing as an educator.
  • Engage with students outside of the classroom to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the school’s wider community and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with appropriate teaching qualifications.
  • Degree-level qualification in Health and Social Care or a related subject.
  • Experience in teaching Health and Social Care at Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student success.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with ECTs, NQTs, or in Sixth Form Colleges.
  • Experience with BTEC qualifications or similar vocational courses.
  • Familiarity with AAQ’s and other relevant assessment frameworks.
  • Experience in professional development and staff training.
