The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Health and Social Care Teacher to inspire and support Sixth Form students in their studies. This role offers the chance to contribute to a school with a proven track record of excellence and progression to Higher Education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Health and Social Care courses, including BTEC Level 3 and AAQ’s, to Sixth Form students.
- Develop engaging and inclusive lesson plans that support student learning and progression.
- Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continue growing as an educator.
- Engage with students outside of the classroom to foster a positive learning environment.
- Contribute to the school’s wider community and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with appropriate teaching qualifications.
- Degree-level qualification in Health and Social Care or a related subject.
- Experience in teaching Health and Social Care at Level 3 or equivalent.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student success.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with ECTs, NQTs, or in Sixth Form Colleges.
- Experience with BTEC qualifications or similar vocational courses.
- Familiarity with AAQ’s and other relevant assessment frameworks.
- Experience in professional development and staff training.
