The Opportunity:

As a Physics Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to Sixth Form students, preparing them for A-Level and BTEC Level 3 courses. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Physics lessons to a range of students, including those studying for A-Level and BTEC Level 3 qualifications.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to support student learning and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s academic programs and student outcomes.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Engage with students outside of the classroom through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant teaching qualification and degree-level subject expertise in Physics.
  • Experience teaching Physics at A-Level and/or BTEC Level 3.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Experience working with ECTs, NQTs, or in a Sixth Form College or FE College setting.
  • A track record of delivering high-quality education and achieving excellent student outcomes.
  • Experience with professional development and continuous learning.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary on the Sixth Form College Teacher’s main scale, from £33,465 to £51,714 per annum.
  • Additional payment for work during the summer term (August).
