The Opportunity:

As a Placement Assessor, you will play a crucial role in preparing learners for their work placements, ensuring they gain valuable experience and meet course requirements. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people in their educational and career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess learners during work placements in accordance with awarding body requirements.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support learners in setting and achieving their targets.
  • Complete observation documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Mentor and coach learners to enhance their skills and confidence.
  • Ensure compliance with course success criteria and institutional standards.
  • Collaborate with placement providers to support learner development.
  • Maintain detailed records and report on learner progress.
  • Promote a safe and supportive environment for learners during placements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in education or training, preferably in childcare, early years, or health and social care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess and provide constructive feedback.
  • Experience in working with young people and understanding their needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering training or mentoring programs.
  • Familiarity with T-levels or BTEC qualifications.
  • Experience with work placement coordination or management.
  • Knowledge of education standards and awarding body requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
