The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Health and Social Care Teacher to join a supportive team and make a meaningful impact on students' lives. This role offers the chance to deliver engaging lessons and prepare students for external assessments and vocational qualifications at Key Stage 4 and 5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Health and Social Care across Key Stage 4 and 5
- Lead and coordinate programmes of study to ensure students are well-prepared for assessments and qualifications
- Foster critical thinking and practical skills through innovative teaching methods
- Contribute to pupil wellbeing and act as a form tutor
- Build strong relationships with parents and the local community
- Support the development of the curriculum through additional expertise in psychology, childcare, or criminology
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching and learning practices
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent subject knowledge in Health and Social Care
- Proven experience in teaching Health and Social Care at Key Stage 4 and 5
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across the Trust
Preferred
- Experience in psychology, childcare, or criminology
- Experience with vocational qualifications and external assessments
- Background in continuous professional development and innovative teaching strategies
