The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Health and Social Care.
  • Support the development and implementation of the curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Engage in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider college community through enrichment activities.
  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant degree and/or professional vocational qualification.
  • Recognised teaching qualification or Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience in teaching Health and Social Care at Level 2 or 3.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience in a sixth form college or further education setting.
  • Leadership experience or interest in taking on a Programme Leader role.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
  • Familiarity with vocational and academic pathways.
