Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and prepare pupils for LAMDA drama examinations (Acting, Devising, Mime, and Verse and Prose).
  • Plan structured lessons aligned with the LAMDA Syllabus.
  • Source and ensure the appropriateness of teaching materials.
  • Organise and manage your own timetable and teaching space.
  • Liaise with the LAMDA team regarding examination entries and parent communication.
  • Provide regular feedback to pupils and monitor their development.
  • Write detailed LAMDA reports and participate in the annual review process.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in teaching drama and preparing students for LAMDA examinations.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction for varying ability levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering creativity, confidence, and discipline in students.

Preferred

  • Experience with drama outreach or extracurricular activities.
  • Knowledge of performance and theatre production.
  • Experience in managing administrative tasks related to teaching and examinations.
  • Familiarity with LAMDA grading and assessment criteria.
