The Opportunity:

Join a dedicated team as a Higher Level Learning and Inclusion Lead (TA4) within the school’s Raise Network (SEND Department). This role is pivotal in shaping the future of SEND provision, including the potential development of a new SEND base. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a centre of excellence for inclusive practice and support the SENCO in delivering high-quality education for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, monitor and deliver high-quality teaching and learning activities tailored to individual needs.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour and manage challenging situations sensitively and effectively.
  • Differentiate teaching strategies to engage children and young people with diverse needs.
  • Support the SENCO with EHCP applications, annual reviews and statutory paperwork.
  • Track SEND data, plan targeted interventions and evaluate their impact.
  • Liaise effectively with staff, departments and external agencies regarding SEND needs.
  • Implement, monitor and review pupil passports to support individual learning goals.
  • Contribute to the visioning and development of a future SEND base within the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Ability to plan, monitor and deliver high-quality teaching and learning activities.
  • Confidence in setting and promoting high standards of behaviour.
  • Experience in supporting the SENCo with statutory SEND processes.
  • Skill in tracking SEND data and evaluating interventions.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Qualifications to TA4 level or willingness to study for this.

Preferred

  • Experience in implementing and reviewing pupil passports.
  • Background in inclusive education or special needs support.
  • Familiarity with Catholic values and ethos in education.
  • Experience in developing new SEND provision or facilities.
