The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Maths Teacher to join our Alternative Provision Facility. This role is ideal for a teacher who is dedicated to improving the life chances of young people and delivering high-quality education in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons to students across a range of ability levels.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student achievement and progression.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and positive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Support students in developing the skills and attitudes necessary for future success.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student progress and achievement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages student participation and engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Maths.
  • Experience in teaching within an alternative provision setting or with students who have complex needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering Maths to students aged 11-16.
  • Familiarity with alternative provision frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience in developing and implementing individual learning plans.
  • Experience with behaviour management and pastoral support strategies.
