Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support departmental initiatives
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support
- Participate in the planning and delivery of extra-curricular and enrichment activities
- Contribute to the pastoral care and overall development of students
- Stay up to date with developments in Maths education and incorporate new ideas into teaching
- Support the school's mission and values through active participation in school events and community initiatives
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS)
- Proven experience in teaching Maths at secondary level
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience of teaching across the 11-19 age range
- Experience of working in a Catholic school or with a strong pastoral ethos
- Experience in delivering Maths at GCSE and A Level
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives
