Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support departmental initiatives
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extra-curricular and enrichment activities
  • Contribute to the pastoral care and overall development of students
  • Stay up to date with developments in Maths education and incorporate new ideas into teaching
  • Support the school's mission and values through active participation in school events and community initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS)
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at secondary level
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching across the 11-19 age range
  • Experience of working in a Catholic school or with a strong pastoral ethos
  • Experience in delivering Maths at GCSE and A Level
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives
