Key Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance the learning experience of students through tailored interventions.
- Work closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality educational outcomes.
- Assist in the development and delivery of lesson plans and activities.
- Provide targeted support to students with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Contribute to the school’s leadership programme and character development initiatives.
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) standards or have equivalent qualification or experience.
- Experience of working with children in a secondary school or similar setting.
- Experience of supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
- Strong organisational and technical skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Commitment to working as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
- Familiarity with Star Academies’ values and mission.
- Experience in delivering leadership or character development programmes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
